Dr. Emily A. Tucker
Dr. Emily Tucker was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. She spent most of her childhood riding horses and showing paint horses both English and western pleasure. During high school, she worked with a German Shepherd rescue rehabilitating dogs with behavioral problems.
Dr. Tucker came to Alabama when she started her undergraduate career at Auburn University, she earned her bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences there. During undergrad, Dr. Tucker met her husband, Matt Tucker. They got married two weeks before she started vet school at Auburn. During her first year of vet school, Dr. Tucker and her husband started raising Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats. They began showing them, and now have a successful and growing small farm.
Dr. Tucker graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2017. Their farm includes her childhood pony Susie, their miniature donkey Henry, 13 dairy goats, their guardian dog and 4 pet dogs (Mia, Sam, Lena, and JoJo), their barn kitties (Kitty, Flynn, and Trooper), their mini pig Libby, and several chickens. They are new to the Warrior area, but have enjoyed it so far. Dr. Tucker and her husband are looking forward to getting to know the area and the people and pets of Stewart Animal Clinic.
